With reference to Colonial Office letter No.40213/24

of the 2nd September 1924 authorising the payment of pensions to Kr.Edward Alexander Irving, late Director of Education, from Hong

Kong and Federated Malay States funds, we shall be glad if you will

inform us whether temporary increase at the revised or unrevised

rate is payable on the Federated Malay States pension of £119-18-Bd

per annum, ile., has the pension been calculated upon revised or

unrevised salary ?
